How the site makes money
The guide is free. When you book a tour through some of my links, the company pays me a commission. You pay the same price as you would on its website.

Affiliate links
An affiliate link carries a code that tells the company you came from this site. If you book within its tracking period, it pays me a share of what it earns. The price, the cancellation terms and the customer service are the same as if you had found it yourself.
| Partner | What for |
|---|---|
| GetYourGuide | Day tours from Porto, boat trips and tastings |
| Stay22 | Hotel links, which pass through Stay22 on the way to Booking.com |
A partner is added to this list before it appears on any page.
How to spot them
Pages with affiliate links say so under the title, and each booking button has a short note next to it. In the code, these links carry rel="sponsored".
The rules I write by
- Nothing is recommended because it pays a commission.
- When buying direct is cheaper, I say so. The one-hour boat in Pinhão is a good example: the operator sells it for less than the platforms.
- When a tour is the wrong choice for you, the page says that too.
- Many recommendations, such as viewpoints, villages and the train, earn nothing at all.
- No sponsored posts, and no paid places in rankings.
